| Our Stud Broodmare herd consists of PRE ANNCE, PRE Mundial, AHAA registered Purebred Spanish Andalusians. All our ladies are kind, honest, trustworthy mares with beautiful temperaments. Our mares are part of our family and are NOT all bred from every year . I am a big believer that the mare is of equal importance to the stallion. The mare line is due to the transmission of the X chromosome. The stallion can only pass on one "X" chromosome which comes from his dam to his fillies and none to his colts while the mare passes on one of her "X" chromosomes to "Every" foal !! Genetic potential in three places - the Sire line, the Sire's dam line, and the Mare's Dam line. The Y chromosome always comes from the Sire ; the X chromosome(s) comes from the sire's dam and / or the dam depending on the sex of the foal. |
